What to Expect

Why You’ll Love It

It’s impossible not to smile as you watch the goats playing all around and cuddling up to you. Their joy is infectious! Studies show that playing with an animal for as little as 5 minutes reduces stress levels. This is because interacting with animals reduces cortisol (the stress hormone) while simultaneously increasing serotonin and dopamine (hormones that trigger happiness.) Goat yoga will help you release the tension you’ve been holding on to and simply reconnect with everyone around you. Aside from dogs, goats were one of the first species to be domesticated, about 10,000 years ago and share one of the oldest bonds with humans. This explains why they are so affectionate towards people, so be ready for lots of nuzzles and attention!

What to Bring

  1. NOT your finest Lululemon outfit. Dress comfortable for your yoga class and know goats like to nibble on anything they can get in their mouth. The goat’s little hoofs can also irritate your back, so you may want to wear a shirt that covers your back if you have sensitive skin.

  2. Water will be provided, but you will need to bring a water bottle. We are trying to do our part to save Mother Earth.

  3. An old cheap mat that you don’t mind if it gets dirty. Or you can use one of ours for free!

  4. Sunscreen. The sun in this little mountain town is no joke.

  5. A hair tie if you have long-ish hair. The goat LOOOOVE hair.

  6. You’re gonna want to take pictures! Bring a phone or some other camera. We also take photos that will be emailed to you right after the class for free.

  7. A sense of humor and adventurous spirit!
